Core Centric Movement Principles

My wellness journey began 25 years ago, when I earned my Group Exercise certification as a means to supplement my income as a single mom. Working full time in the banking industry, I taught at our corporate fitness center and local YMCA’s before stumbling into my first yoga class.
Upon completion of a 200-hour yoga certification in Philadelphia, I completed my pilates mat and apparatus training. In love with how the two disciplines complemented each other, I began teaching “yoga-lates” flow classes long before I understood the functional benefits this blended class offered!
A lover of learning, I traveled to NYC and San Francisco to learn from Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rea, and others before I found Kula Yoga Project and Jason Crandell. Fascinated with anatomy and the way in which the body was designed to move, I completed my 500-hour yoga certification with Jason, studied with Nikki Vilella, completed the advanced TPM training and developed and led my own 200-hour yoga program and barre certifications in Philadelphia.
My classes draw from my breadth of training and experience teaching other disciplines to offer a well-rounded practice that is exploratory and educational, challenging and accessible. Outside of the classroom, I love to cook and spend time with my husband road tripping with our pup Lucas.
