Equipment Required:
The mobility we work with in squats lays the groundwork for more complex poses and transitions such as bound extended side angle, bound malasana, and bird of paradise. We’ll prepare the shoulders by working with internal rotation and the thoracic spine with axial rotation. The objective here is to make these poses feel more spacious with the aid of a strap to keep the spine long and shoulder girdle easefully placed atop the ribcage.
