This class works to activate and strengthen the intercostals and obliques to side bend and twist using the condition 1st approach. Starting with conditioning builds mental connection and joint stability BEFORE the passive stretching and flexibility that fills many vinyasa classes. Conditioning exercises can include: weights, resistance bands, or body weight to activate/strengthen a certain area with the goal of improving athletic function. After the targeted strengthening, move into a yoga practice where you’ll put the skills to use and perhaps find surprising ease after your hard work!
